What is OpenGarage?

OpenGarage is a resource created and developed by FTC team GarageBot focused on providing teams with CAD resources and design ideas. Most of our ideas have had some testing and we are eager to share CAD access to all!

GoBilda Pod

This version uses bearings from GoBilda resulting in a slightly bigger form factor. This pod is also (somehow) more expensive than the custom pod so we would recommend going with the smaller one if you don't already have the necessary parts.

Custom Pod

This version uses bearings from Amazon resulting in a smaller form factor.

*Disclaimer: This pod hasn't been printed out/tested yet

*Note from creator

Hey guys, Manav here...I just wanted to note that this is not meant to replace OpenOdometry or any other existing solutions out there; Just another resource for you guys to check out. On the other hand, the pod I have created (I built and tested one) seems to work really well, is easier to build, and costs less, so feel free to try it out and please send me feedback!

GarageBox Collection

GarageTrain Low Profile

This dead-axle belted mecanum drivetrain was designed to be low profile with a size of 15in x 15 in. Each wheel module has been printed and built and seems to work great, and the previous version of these modules was used on my FF bot. This DT has been tailored to be the perfect software-orientated chassis with cutouts for distance sensors as well as 3 odometery pods (uses baby odo due to space concerns).

*Note these plates have not been cut out and this chassis has not been built. I'd suggest this as a starting point for your own chassis but if you want to build the exact same version it should (in-theory) work as intended.
